My kid’s school has 7 new trees in the schoolyard that need a lot of water to stand up to the heat from the asphalt. I put in 6 Treegators and one Ooze Tube. The Treegators are much easier to set up: zip them up and fill. The Ooze Tube requires driving in a stake and punching in some drip heads, which is somewhat fussy. The main advantage I see to the Ooze Tube is that it is not supported by the tree trunk as much as the Treegator, and there’s a little more breathing room around the trunk. The Ooze Tube distributes the water a little farther from the trunk and you have a choice of where it goes, since you put the drip heads in yourself. The Treegator releases the water right next to the trunk. Both of them drip water at a nice slow rate, so it soaks in rather than running off the soil.
Both systems are far, far better than standing next to the tree for half an hour with a dripping hose! Or watering normally and watching the water run off…

I bought this saw for my husband because I felt he needed a lighter weight saw since he uses one quite a bit on the farm and he isn’t getting any younger. He immediately tried out the saw (he was used to a 21″ cutting bar) and loeved it. To use his words”That saw cut through those trees like butter. He used it to clear fallen trees off our 375 acre farm and to do the “gin” work around our home. We had a very bad ice storm last winter and had many down trees to saw up to be moved. He loves the power and how easy it starts. He said to rate this 5 stars at least!
Can anyone help me with a chainsaw problem?
I have a Husqvarna 359 chainsaw. I had it for a few years. It worked fine, then within one tank of gas, I started having problems with it and by about half of a tank, the saw just quit. It’s acting like a fuel line leak. I choke the Husqvarna Chainsaw Gas Tank saw, it fires. I take off the choke, it starts, runs for about 2-3 seconds, it quits. I cleaned the carb (every thing is working like new, and yes I have the adjustment needles set properly). The carb’s diaphrahm is like new. I changed the fuel line and fuel filter. The air filter is clean. The fuel tank vent filter is still there. I even cleaned the piston rings (which were sticking). After all that, I still had the same problem.I took a small engine repair class and every engine I have touched works, but I am stumped with this saw.Any ideas?

I use this in my NH home on trees which I clear for expanding my daylily farm. I looked through the many options and bought this due to the reviews and the reputation of the company. But beware. It took seven hours of trying and five days to get it started the first time. I even called the manufacturer’s hot line which was helpful but they said to me that this was a common problem.First a suggestion. Follow the directions but beware the flooding. Follow each step but you may have to do what I was told to do several times.Remove the cowling and remove the spark plug and turn the engine over to expel the excess fuel. Then clean the plug and let it dry. It may take time since the fuel mix with oil does not evaporate quickly, the oil is a surfactant and stays on the plug. Let the engine cool down then replace the plug, and start all over again. It took three times to get it to finally turn over. It finally turned over.It cuts well and seems to start well after the first almost impossible
I bought this saw today in order to clear out a couple of trees that fell in a storm last night. I’ve never owned a chainsaw before and I am the first to admit that I know nothing about them. I had not read any reviews and only picked this one because of the price. I got home took it out of the box followed the quick setup instructions and started cutting. This saw did everything I could have hoped that it would do. My father-in-law, who has owned a few saws of his own, was also very impressed. Being the first time I’ve ever cute trees, I made a beginers mistake and got the chain bound in the process of getting out the chain was pulled loose. I can’t imagin having to use a tool to retighten the chain, this was so easy. It did seem to take a few more pulls to start than what I would have expected but nothing bad (maybe 12-15 pulls). All-in-all this is the best chainsaw I’ve ever owned, at least after my first day of use. Now I just need to find more trees to cut.
What is wrong with my chainsaw? I have a husqvarna 455 rancher. Husqvarna Chainsaw When I squeeze the throttle to full the engine?
When I squeeze the throttle to full, the engine bogs down and dies.
