I have used oregon chains and bars for years. They have always tended to be of average or better quality. I was quite supprised that Oregon would allow their name of such a poorly engineered and shoddy product. When the guide is set up exactly as per instructions, the chain guide will not allow the chain to pass through the clamps. Had I bought this thing locally, it would have gone back the next day. Rather than go through all the return hassels through Amazon, I just decided to chalk it up to experience and eat it. I have decided that it is better to just pay a little more and buy some things locally than to buy from Amazon, sigh unseen and end up with a useless peice of crap. Save your $40 and just buy a plain old round file and hand guide. You will do a better job of sharpening and save some money too.

I owned a Ryobi unit which used a reciprocating saw trimmer. It got jammed and the gears stripped. Can’t get these any more. This unit works pretty well and the chain saw idea is pretty good. Mine had the chain tensioned too tight for my Ryobi and I had a tough time keeping the unit running without stalling the motor. After loosening the chain tension it worked much better. The strap is kind of useless and I can tell you your arms will get tired so take your time. Since you are always looking up here are some important safety tips: DON’T WORK ALONE, USE TIGHTLY SEALED SAFETY GOGGLES, BE SURE YOU HAVE GOOD FOOTING AND A CLEAR PATH TO MOVE QUICKLY IF THINGS START GOING WRONG. When you store the unit put in in a tray of some type since the chain cutting oil leaks when not in use. Very happy so far.

Oregon is probably the best chainsaw chain found anywhere, but do shop around for a better price and customer service. This brand chain can be found almost everywhere in the USA either on-line or at a saw/garden shop.
How can you make a fake chainsaw for a halloween costume?
I am making a halloween costume based on the character Ash from the Evil Dead Trilogy (hail to the Bruce, baby!). I have the leather Chainsaw Parts belt straps, shirt, pants, severed hand, metal clamp, lots of fake blood and grey hair spray. However, I am having trouble finding a fake chainsaw that isn’t cheesy looking and not flat. I had an idea for the saw part, using cardboard and metallic paint as well as a cork screw handle for activator. Does anyone have any suggestions for the body of the chainsaw? Thanks in advance.

What parts do I need to put an echo cs-60s chainsaw motor on an 18 speed mountain bike?
First of all, it has a centrifugal Chainsaw Parts Explosion clutch. How can I make a bike chain work with it? Second of all, once I mount it, and set up the throttle, is there a way to make the bike go into something like neutral? aka engine running, but not moving the wheel?

I use this item and like it for three reasons: (1) It’s a space-saver, compared to a regular edger. I just don’t have that much room in my garage. (2) It saves money, because you can put this on the end of your Shindaiwa head/shaft assembly, and then by purchasing the string trimmer attachment, you will have two tools but only one gas engine to worry about. Your total cost will be less than buying two separate tools.(3) It is easy to “aim.” Once I got the hang of it, I found it easy to avoid hitting the sidewalk or driveway with the blade. As another reviewer noted, it’s not suitable for edging around flower beds and the like, so if you need that capabililty, this is probably not the model for you.To do a good job, you need to have the engine just about maxed out on RPMs, so all of your neighbors are going to be treated to the sound of your efforts… if that’s a factor. I don’t think it is as powerful as a regular gas-powered edger, so it is a good idea to edge often. If
