I bought this for my 16lb beagle & her crate for her 12+ hour trans-pacific flight. I ended up returning this as it was way too big for her crate. I measured her crate & went with the one that stated was between her crate measurements. We received it promptly, but I could’ve put another 1/2 crate in there it was so big! Very disappointing. We had ordered the medium sized cover & were unable to locate a small size even though her crate isn’t small. She made the flight just fine, luckily we were moving overseas in May & had no restrictions on weather or she may have had to stay.

Why do people assume that all service/guide dogs are “in training”?
I use a guide dog. Whenever I’m out with her I get asked if I’m training her. She’s not in training (she’s been a guide dog for Service Guide two years now), and doesn’t misbehave at all. I don’t understand why the general public seems to think these dogs spend forever in training and never go to a disabled handler. My friend is always asked if his dog is in training, when she’s not. His dog doesn’t look young like mine, she’s graying. So why do so many people assume that service dogs in public are just in training?

homelite-chainsaw Blog on Watering Bags

My kid’s school has 7 new trees in the schoolyard that need a lot of water to stand up to the heat from the asphalt. I put in 6 Treegators and one Ooze Tube. The Treegators are much easier to set up: zip them up and fill. The Ooze Tube requires driving in a stake and punching in some drip heads, which is somewhat fussy. The main advantage I see to the Ooze Tube is that it is not supported by the tree trunk as much as the Treegator, and there’s a little more breathing room around the trunk. The Ooze Tube distributes the water a little farther from the trunk and you have a choice of where it goes, since you put the drip heads in yourself. The Treegator releases the water right next to the trunk. Both of them drip water at a nice slow rate, so it soaks in rather than running off the soil.

Both systems are far, far better than standing next to the tree for half an hour with a dripping hose! Or watering normally and watching the water run off…

jonsered-chainsaws Tips on Stihl Chainsaw Exhaust Modification

Oregon is probably the best chainsaw chain found anywhere, but do shop around for a better price and customer service. This brand chain can be found almost everywhere in the USA either on-line or at a saw/garden shop.

Can you put a blade from a Craftsman 18″ on a Stihl 026 18″ chainsaw?
The Craftsman is manual chain oil, Stihl Chainsaw Exhaust Modification and the Stihl is automatic, so I wasn’t sure if I could use the blade from the Craftsman on the Stihl. The craftsman chain has holes on the blade, so I’m not sure if that would affect the oiling. Thanks-Jake

This is an excellent saw for light duty work, I use it for tending to apple and pear trees and the occasional cleanup after a storm. It is big enough for light firewood tasks, but is underpowered for large hardwood pieces. The first thing you should do is buy a Stihl chain for it as the factory Oregon (who makes the husky chains) is a skip link design, featuring fewer cutting teeth and dulls quickly.

In the event that you do remove the side covere with the brake on, which is comparatively difficult, you can make a three prong socket to reset the tension spring. This works much better than chasing a spring around the shop. Your local Husqvarna dealer has a reset tool that they can show you. Lowes might sell Husqvarna, but until they have a parts counter they are not a dealer in my opinion.

What’s wrong with our Husky 3120?
This is our second Husqvarna 3120 our business has been through. It’s a small operation and the 3120 is rarely ever used, still very clean in fact. The first one we had developed an air leak around 300 hours and seized the engine. Now, the second one, no longer under warranty and only with a couple hundred hours is also broken. Today while using it, it made a series of clangs (didn’t feel that rough though) and Husqvarna Chainsaws 350 Rancher stopped. When looking in through the spark plug opening, the engine can be turned over using the starter pulley, but when it reaches the apex, the ONLY way to get it past it so use a saw wrench and a little muscle to turn it over, and when you do it makes a clank sound and abruptly goes past it. Then, it turns freely again until it gets back to the apex and jams. Also, we take excellent care of our equipment, we use Sthil’s, and Echo’s for climbing, and Husky’s for big saws. We have two Husky 372’s with insane hours on them for professional use chainsaws that run without ever a hiccup.Considering how much the 3120 costs, it’s getting really frustrating. Anyone know what kind of problem it has?ThanksOurs is a professional arbor care business that’s been going for nearly 30 years. It’s not something like gasoline, it’s something physical that’s hanging up the engine at it’s apex.
