Chainsaw seized rope won’t budge?
and the flywheel won’t turn. it’s a gas Bar homelite powered homelite with 18″ bar. before it seized the chain wouldn’t rotate. it felt like the case had overheated. big repair? ideas? thanks.

This is the 3rd Oregon chain over the last year I’ve bought for my 20+ year old Homelite Super XL 20″ saw. Cuts like butter when new but I purchased a few to have a sharp one working while getting 2 or 3 professionally sharpened.

Chainsaw will only run when I pour gas into the cylinder or carb?
It’s a McCulloch Eager Beaver 2.0 cid.It does run ,when I put a little gas in the cyl. or carb, so I McCulloch Chainsaw Carb know it’s getting sparkI’m guessing that it has something to do with the carb gaskets.How hard is it to replace the carb. gaskets? How do I get to them?(how much of the saw do I have to take apart to get to carb?)How much would a small engine shop chargr to do it? The saw was free, so I don’t mind putting a little work into it.Thanks

The fuel hose and filter worked like a charm. Evidently there are many sizes of primer bulbs for the walbro carburetor. The one I need is much smaller than the one in this kit. Otherwise excellent part and service from seller.

Need advice on how to fix a homelite weedeater?
I’m having problem with my 2004 Homelite Twist ‘n Edge weedeater, I acquired it from a friend that had it sitting around for 8 months. He had it working before it went into storage. I’ve cleaned the unit in general, cleaning off all old oil residue, cleaned out Filter homelite the gas tank, replace the fuel filter, replaced the spark plug, primer bulb and have put on new gas lines. The unit will run on half choke but only on full throttle it will not idle, nor will it run on full choke or in the run position. What do I need to do to the unit to get it running like it should be. Money’s tight and I can’t go and buy a new one. Some friend’s have just bluntly said maybe the carburetor needs cleaned but I don’t know how to do that, so if that’s the case can you tell me how. Also the owner’s manual is no help on trying to clean the carburetor. Thank you in advance for all help and support!
