I bought a new cub cadet chain saw so I thought I would get an extra chain. Amazon was pushing this one. Well when it came the box was different than the one shown, but the number was the same. When I went to put it on the chain was an inch too long. So I went to the local hardware store and looked at the oregon box….CUB CADET IS NOT EVEN LISTED ON THE BOX. The picture they show is either old or photo shopped. As i took so long to need it i am stuck with it. Thanks Amazon!

Despite the description, it does not fit my 16″ craftsman chain saw. I purchased as a spare. Now that I need it, I find it is useless and I’m stuck with it since it is past the seller’s return date.
can i use the same gas in my leaf blower, in my chain saw and weed whacker?
My echo leaf blower needs a 50:1 Echo Chainsaw 16 ratio mix. My chainsaw and weed whacker need a 40:1 ratio. Could i run the chain an whacker on a 50:1 ratio with no temporary or long term problems. Also they all have only been run a few times and well maintained.

McCulloch 2-stroke chainsaw won’t start?
This chainsaw hasn’t been running for at least 10 years. The carb has been cleaned out and everything but it will not start. I haven’t tried it for months Mcculloch Chainsaw Parts now but i believe it wasn’t getting any spark whatsoever. Maybe its the ignition or magneto thing? That part of the engine isn’t my specialty but i’ve been told my points might need sanding? I think i have to take the flywheel off to do so correct me if i’m wrong. And also could this have to do with the gap between the flywheel and the magneto if thats what its called?

Bought this McCulloch electric chainsaw to replace an old Craftsman electric chain saw. (the Craftsman got ran over by a car)
Compared to my old Craftsman electric chain saw, the McCulloch seems to be wonderful. The first test was to cut a 16″ diameter oak branch, cut thru it like hot butter. The “no tools needed” chain tensioner seems to be a good design (design seems to be similar to that used by other manufacturers).
Assuming this thing keeps cutting/running the same way in the long term, then we have a winner.
(note: all the electric chain saws come with cheap looking chains with cutting blades spaced very widely apart along the chain. To be ready for the bigger cutting jobs I sprung for a new $18 Oregon 16″ chain, which has not been mounted yet.)
