Husqvarna Chainsaw Rancher

I’m a casual user and for around the house after the storms its made cleanup a breeze. Compared to similar makes my friends have its by far the best, but I won’t tell them that. Observations are it’s a little heavy and I was lead to believe it had the quick chain tensioning feature which it did not.

Husqvarna 455 Rancher Chainsaw – Saw stalls at full throttle.?
Idle is fine, and comes up Husqvarna Chainsaw Rancher to speed the same as always, but when it reaches cutting speed it stalls dead. The saw is two years old and in good shape, but has seen significant use the past several weeks.

1st use I didn’t even get through an entire tank of gas before the CHAIN bound up on the blade. Removed chain Cover & Chain, cleaned everything up, Oiled, adjusted chain Tension, then took it out for another run the Next Day at cutting up deadfall Trees in the Woods next to our property for firewood. Didn’t cut any tree thicker than a telephone pole, did o.k. The following morning went to remove the chain Cover, but wouldn’t come off – even with both nuts completely removed! Had to pry different ways around the cover to get the clutch BRAKE (metal band) that’s attached to chain cover to Pop off! After cleaning/oiling chain, attempted every which way to adjust & tighten the chain Cover, but clutch Brake would absolutely NOT go back over the clutch! After wasteing like 1 1/2 Hours fiddling with the thing, I decided LIFE IS TOO SHORT to babysit a $400 Chainsaw every single time I want to use it! I returned the piece of junk 6 Days after buying it! ALSO, AFTER LESS THAN (2) TANKS OF GAS, THE CHAIN WAS STARTING TO DULL (CREATING SAWDUST INSTEAD OF FLYING CHUNKS OF WOOD, SLOWER CUTTING, REQUIRING MORE EFFORT).

We heat all winter our 1900 sq ft home with our wood burning stove. I finally have a chain saw that gets the job done. I love it!

I have had this chain saw for 3 years with zero defects. The first year I took down eight 100+ foot tall long leaf pine trees on my property with no issues. Second and third year I used it for cutting fireplace wood. Still no issues. From the factory it is set up slightly lean but I have had no issues with over heating thus far. Would buy again from Husqvarna.
